Job Description

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional front office experience. This role manages a high-volume phone line, schedules and confirms appointments, and supports patient check-in and check-out processes to ensure smooth daily operations. The receptionist prepares patient charts ahead of visits, verifies and updates patient information, and answers general procedural questions while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
This individual will work closely with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow, assist with rescheduling and follow-ups, and provide clear communication to patients regarding appointments and expectations. Additional responsibilities include performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate has strong customer service and communication skills, demonstrates critical thinking in a fast-paced environment, and is highly organized with a proactive, patient-focused mindset.

Required Skills & Experience

-2–3 years of office administration/reception experience
-Prior experience in a medical office environment
-Strong technical proficiency
-Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
-Professional, clear communicator with strong organizational skills
-Highly organized, presentable, and eager to learn
-Comfortable working in an all cash-pay environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-MA cert or nursing assistant
-LPN or LVN or RN
