Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Regulatory & Environmental to lead a multi-function team supporting pipeline safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental programs (waste, water, remediation). This role will drive performance, strengthen leadership across the team, and help position the organization ahead of an evolving regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Pipeline Safety, Regulatory, and Environmental functions with full accountability for compliance, risk, cost, and timelines
• Manage and develop 4 direct-report managers and ~35 total team members
• Build and improve systems, processes, and standards to enhance performance and consistency
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams
• Support M&A due diligence and integration efforts
• Monitor regulatory changes and guide company strategy
• Engage with regulatory agencies and represent the organization externally
• Deliver executive-level reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience, including leadership of managers or multi-function teams
• Oil & gas experience required (midstream/upstream preferred)
• Strong knowledge of pipeline safety regulations (PHMSA, FERC)
• Experience with environmental regulations (EPA, remediation, water, waste)
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Certifications (CEP, REM, etc.) preferred
• Texas & New Mexico permitting experience required; multi-state preferred
• Midstream or upstream experience
