Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team in North Houston, Texas in the oil field services industry. This person will be at the direction of a Lead Engineer or Project Manager, assist in the analysis, modification, and design of products and services for assigned projects, which require a working knowledge of materials, processes, components, and their applications. They will prepare design documentation, calculations and assembly and test specifications. Additionally they will Incorporate Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the and documentation process. Specifically they will be joining in the middle of the project(s) where they will primarily we focused on fast-tracking the design documentation for the tools they already have in testing. They will be using SolidWorks, CWI, and Microsoft Office products. This role will be 100% in office 8am-5pm M-F to start for the first 3 months then it will be M, Tu, & Th in office required with W&F optional.

Target Pay Rate Range: $40 - 50/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in Mechanical Design Engineering

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Aerospace, Electro-Mechanical, etc.)

Proficient with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office

Knowledge of BOM's and drawings

Experience/knowledge of drilling or completion tools

Willingness to learn.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Oil and gas industry experience

Experience joining a project mid way then working on it until completion

Experience in mechanical design specifically with high pressure and high temperature
