Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a hands-on automation engineers who can design, build, and scale automation frameworks that validate complete customer ordering workflows — from mobile app and web ordering portals all the way through POS and store integrations. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with deep QA automation expertise across mobile (iOS/Android), web, and device-integrated systems. QSR or retail technology background is a strong differentiator. This candidate will be responsible to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for mobile applications (iOS & Android), websites and ordering portals, and POS workflows. Build and scale mobile automation test suites using Appium. Develop web automation using Playwright or Selenium. Automate POS ordering workflows and store integrations end-to-end. Create API automation tests for backend services. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Maintain automation stability, reliability, and execution speed across all platforms. Collaborate with developers, product teams, and DevOps engineers on test strategy and design. Participate in test planning, automation architecture decisions, and sprint ceremonies. Provide consistent coverage support through 5:00 PM CST daily

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8+ years of QA automation or SDET experience
• Expert-level, hands-on experience with Appium for iOS and Android mobile automation — non-negotiable
• Strong programming proficiency in at least one of: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Groovy
• Proven hands-on experience automating web applications using Playwright or Selenium
• Experience automating POS workflows or device-based systems
• Experience with API automation testing
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with automation framework design patterns (Page Object Model, modular frameworks)
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter or equivalent)
• Located in India, available to start within 2 weeks, and able to provide coverage through 5:00 PM CST
• Need candidates to have very strong communication
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience testing digital ordering platforms, retail, or QSR systems (POS, menu/pricing systems, payment integrations, end-to-end order lifecycle)
• Experience with React Native mobile application testing
• Experience using cloud device farms (BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs)
• Knowledge of Git-based development workflows
• Familiarity with MCP-style test design and automation workflows
• Experience using Generative AI tools for automation development
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
• Background in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) technology platforms
