Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a CNC Machinist in Austin, TX. This individual will support a precision machining environment by setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines to manufacture high-quality parts. They will review engineering drawings and job requirements, perform machine setups, and execute machining operations including milling, turning, drilling, and deburring. The role includes performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calibrated measuring tools, documenting work accurately, and ensuring all parts meet quality standards. This person will also assist with job readiness, communicate production status, and help identify and resolve machining or quality issues. The position requires working independently with limited supervision while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Compensation for this role is budgeted between $35-41/hr W2.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-10+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes
- Experience with manual machining (mills, lathes) and shop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T
- Experience performing in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
- Experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment (AS9100, ISO, or similar)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with live-tool CNC lathes
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
- Experience with Haas machines or similar equipment
- Experience supporting first article inspections (AS9102)
- Experience with G-code review or basic CNC program troubleshooting
- Experience using advanced inspection equipment (CMM, Keyence, etc.)
