Insight Global is looking for a Accounting Analyst that will be working on site in Austin, TX and support a public-private partnership of preeminent semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies, national labs, and academic institutions. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor logic, memory, heterogenous integration, chip cooling, etc. They are Backed by $1.4 billion in combined funding from DARPA, Texas state initiatives, and strategic partners, they are building foundational capabilities in advanced packaging and integrated design infrastructure to restore U.S. leadership in microelectronics manufacturing.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial operations within a high-volume semiconductor foundry manufacturing environment. This role will focus on capital asset accounting, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable (AR) processes while partnering closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in GAAP, experience supporting capital-intensive environments, and the ability to analyze complex financial data tied to manufacturing operations and customer programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Asset Management:
Maintain and track fixed assets, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, tools, and facility infrastructure.
Support capital project accounting from acquisition through capitalization and depreciation.
Review and validate CIP (Construction-in-Progress) balances and perform timely capitalization.
Ensure accurate asset tagging, classification, and useful life assignments in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
Partner with engineering and facilities teams to track asset movements, retirements, and impairments.
Assist with physical inventory audits and reconciliation of fixed assets.
Revenue Accounting & Analysis:
Support revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 for semiconductor manufacturing services and customer contracts.
Analyze and document revenue treatments for complex customer arrangements, including wafer starts, long-term agreements, and pricing models.
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Partner with FP&A and commercial teams to validate revenue forecasts and identify variances.
Assist with audit support and documentation related to revenue processes.
Accounts Receivable (AR) & Cash Applications
Manage end-to-end AR processes, including billing validation, invoicing, and cash application.
Monitor customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and support collections efforts.
Reconcile AR subledger to general ledger and investigate outstanding balances.
Work cross-functionally with operations and customer account teams to ensure accurate invoicing based on production and delivery milestones.
Financial Reporting & Close Support
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Prepare financial reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.
Analyze trends related to capital spend, revenue performance, and receivables.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Process Improvement & Controls
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
Support ERP system enhancements (e.g., SAP, Oracle) related to asset and revenue modules.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–6+ years of accounting experience
Experience working with capital asset management
Strong knowledge of GAAP, including fixed assets and revenue recognition
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Semiconductor manufacturing or foundry experience (fab, packaging, testing, or advanced manufacturing).
Experience supporting high‑volume production or R&D‑to‑manufacturing scale‑ups.
Exposure to production KPIs, yield analysis, and manufacturing performance metrics.
Experience supporting FP&A, budgeting, or capex planning in a semiconductor environment.
