Job Description

An employer is launching a new Chemicals-focused vertical with a strategic emphasis on growth across Texas and broader U.S. markets. This is a high-impact, senior-level individual contributor role responsible for helping build, shape, and scale the chemicals market strategy.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in chemical logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders while guiding internal teams on how to operate within this specialized and risk-sensitive space.

Responsibilities:
• Build and grow chemical manufacturing business in the Texas market
• Help define and support the market entry strategy
• Communicate chemical logistics, risk, and strategy to C-Suite and executive stakeholders
• Translate customer needs from a chemical manufacturer perspective (procurement/supply chain)
• Educate and enable internal teams on:
o Chemical cargo
o Customer expectations
o Industry terminology
• Support leadership in understanding risk within chemical logistics

Required Skills & Experience

• Direct experience with chemical logistics or chemical supply chains
• Strong background in chemical forwarding
• Ability to communicate complex topics to executive audiences
• Bachelor’s Degree required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Ocean freight experience within chemical logistics
• Experience working with large chemical companies (e.g. major players in the Houston/Texas market)
