Job Description
Seeking a qualified Business Analyst to support a long-term (7–10 year) Smart Metering Program focused on deploying next-generation gas metering infrastructure and systems across multiple states. This individual will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements across multiple workstreams, evaluating current business processes, and identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve overall deployment and operational efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, operations, and program leadership to ensure solutions meet business needs, while serving as a liaison between stakeholders and end users. Responsibilities include leading meetings and presentations, documenting and communicating findings, aligning deployment dependencies, tracking progress against milestones, and supporting change management efforts. The Business Analyst will also contribute to IT-focused workstreams by supporting data mapping initiatives (e.g., client server applications to SAP), developing integration and user acceptance test plans, validating meter data across systems, and guiding testing and standardization best practices. Additionally, this role will monitor stakeholder changes, maintain metering procedures and best practices, prioritize initiatives based on business needs, and drive continuous process improvement strategies to support the long-term success of the program.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
- 5-7 years experience required as an Analyst
- A history of supporting successful IT projects.
- Experience with end-user acceptance testing with vendor supported applications.
- Knowledge of agile project development.
- Experience with SAP, Business Objects, middleware, and client server applications.
- SQL database queries required.
- Experience presenting and communicating with different business units and high level stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Oracle database queries
- Utility industry experience
- Experience in the Natural Gas Industry
- Experience creating pivot tables & advanced data analysis
- IT certification
- Knowledge on agile project development
