Full Stack Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support an enterprise-wide modernization program within the Analytics & Behavioral Change organization at a large healthcare company. This is a builder role focused on execution, where engineers will work from an established roadmap and independently deliver against assigned development work. The application is currently transitioning from Python to Java, so the ability to flex between these languages is critical.

Day to day work will be mainly hands-on coding, sprint planning, and grooming. The team operates in an agile manner working in squads comprised of two data engineers, two full stack engineers, and two captains responsible for gathering and translating requirements. They value go-getter personalities that are inquisitive, motivated and willing to take a high level of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on coding and solution implementation to build and modernize the application
- Develop and integrate APIs using SQL and backend services
- Execute against assigned user stories, owning delivery from development through testing
- Operate within sprint cycles, participating in sprint planning and grooming sessions (3 weeks development, 1 week testing)
- Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions based on defined requirements

- 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer in a data driven environment
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- Python
- SQL queries
- Spark SQL / PySpark
- Azure & Databricks
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and systems design
- Experience building and integrating APIs using SQL
- Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate curiosity, and take ownership
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with Product Owners and Business Owners
- Ability to interview in person at a local Insight Global office and work onsite Fridays in Irving, TX
