Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Supply Chain Strategy Lead– Wells Operations to support strategic initiatives across our clients wells organization. This individual will partner closely with regional teams to develop and execute supply chain strategies, enhance supplier relationships, and drive performance improvements across drilling, cementing, and fluids operations. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and data analytics, requiring strong influencing skills across executive leadership and field teams. Responsibilities include: Partner with regional and functional stakeholders to develop and refine supply chain strategies for wells operations (drilling, completions, cementing, fluids), Define and help operationalize Tier 2 supply chain functions, including frameworks, governance models, and execution roadmaps, Lead advanced supplier relationship management initiatives, building strategic partnerships with key vendors, Facilitate whiteboarding sessions and working workshops to align on priorities, define solutions, and drive execution, Analyze operational and supply chain data (including nonproductive time (NPT)) to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

5–10+ years of experience in oil & gas, with strong exposure to wells operations (drilling, cementing, fluids)

Background in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or procurement

Experience in strategy development, consulting, or business transformation initiatives

Strong understanding of wells operations and ability to “speak the language” with technical teams

Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build trust across multiple levels of an organization

Experience working with data analysis, performance metrics, and operational KPIs (e.g., NPT)

Familiarity with WellView or similar wells systems

Experience with supplier relationship management frameworks and execution

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with tools such as Spotfire, SmartGEP, or similar analytics/procurement platforms

Background supporting large-scale oil & gas operators (supermajors preferred)

Consulting experience within operations, supply chain, or strategy
