Job Description

This role serves as a strategic advisor and hands-on consultant focused on helping the organization identify, prioritize, and implement high-value AI initiatives. Acting as a trusted partner to business leaders and technical teams, the AI Solutions Consultant will evaluate business processes, uncover opportunities for automation and augmentation, and recommend practical AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

The consultant will lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered solutions across the enterprise, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Agent Builder, Power Platform, and Azure AI services. While providing strategic guidance and thought leadership, this individual must also be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to build, configure, test, and support AI solutions, ensuring successful deployment and adoption. Solutions will be integrated with enterprise data sources including SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, and other business applications.

As the organization's AI subject matter expert, this individual will advise stakeholders on emerging AI technologies, Copilot capabilities, prompt engineering best practices, responsible AI principles, and enterprise governance requirements. The consultant will work closely with IT, Legal, HR, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and business leadership to establish AI policies, governance frameworks, risk management processes, and adoption strategies that align innovation with security and compliance requirements.

Success in this role will require balancing strategy with execution. The consultant will lead workshops, discovery sessions, and executive discussions, while also providing hands-on support for troubleshooting, optimizing prompts, refining agent behavior, and enhancing existing AI solutions. They will drive organizational AI maturity through training programs, office hours, knowledge-sharing resources, and reusable AI assets that empower users across the business.

This individual will also measure and communicate the impact of AI initiatives through adoption metrics, business outcomes, user engagement trends, and ROI reporting, while continuously monitoring the rapidly evolving AI landscape and identifying opportunities to introduce new capabilities that create competitive advantage.

Pay will be based on experience and can range from $100-$130 an hour.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of progressive IT experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation, business systems, automation, AI, or related disciplines

Previous leadership experience as a Team Lead, Manager, Director, Architect, Practice Lead, or similar role with demonstrated success driving organizational initiatives

Experience leading enterprise technology adoption, change management, and business transformation efforts

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agent Builder, and AI agent development

Strong expertise within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience with Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse

Working knowledge of Azure AI services, generative AI concepts, and large language models

Strong understanding of prompt engineering, AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices

Proven ability to advise executive leadership while also supporting technical implementation efforts

Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills

Passion for emerging technologies, innovation, and driving measurable business value through AI
