Job Description
We are seeking a Production Coordinator to support end-to-end production operations, including front-end PO processing, internal coordination, and production scheduling. This role acts as the central point of communication across programming, machining, quality, and materials to ensure orders are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
This position can be leveled as either a Production Assistant or Production Scheduler depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the central point of contact once a purchase order (PO) is received
Lead internal coordination to kick off production, including programming, materials, and machining teams
Conduct contract reviews to evaluate pricing, quality standards, and feasibility
Ensure alignment on production timelines, lead times, and delivery commitments
Initiate purchasing activities and track materials required for production
Monitor production progress and provide updates leading up to delivery (including ~2-week pre-ship updates)
Partner closely with quality teams to ensure compliance with requirements
Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (JobBOSS) and Excel
Communicate internally to flag risks, delays, or constraints
Additional Responsibilities (Scheduler-Level)
Set production priorities across machining resources
Assign and sequence work orders to specific machines and teams
Act as an expeditor to ensure jobs move efficiently through production
Balance workload across machines and adjust schedules as needed

Required Skills & Experience
2–6+ years of experience in production coordination, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
Experience working in a machine shop, manufacturing, or production environment
Strong understanding of production workflows, lead times, and materials planning
Experience with ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred) and basic Excel skills
Ability to read and interpret production requirements and timelines
Strong communication and organization skills
Comfortable working cross-functionally and internally facing
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with contract review or project coordination
Exposure to quality standards and manufacturing compliance processes
Experience prioritizing work across multiple machines or work centers
