Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat technologies to support mission-critical initiatives within a federal environment. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated infrastructure and system management solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows to streamline configuration management, patching, provisioning, and compliance across large-scale Linux environments. They will leverage Red Hat Satellite for lifecycle management, content provisioning, system registration, patch orchestration, and compliance enforcement, ensuring systems remain secure, consistent, and aligned with federal standards. This consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security teams, and DevOps engineers, to modernize infrastructure operations, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, supporting audit and compliance efforts, documenting solutions, and providing technical guidance to junior team members. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in RHEL environments, scripting (Bash/Python), and familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices, along with a proven ability to operate within secure, regulated federal environments. An active Secret clearance is required, and experience supporting DoD or other federal agencies is highly preferred.

Required Skills & Experience
• Active Secret clearance
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Red Hat Satellite
• 3-4+ years of experience with Ansible Automation platform, preferably in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with Linux based environments
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD skills
