Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior Server Administrator in Austin, TX to support and maintain a secure server environment. This individual will be responsible for monitoring system health, troubleshooting server issues, and providing Tier II support for outages and performance problems. They will install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, manage virtual machines, and apply patches and security updates. The role includes supporting infrastructure projects such as OS upgrades and server consolidations, maintaining documentation, and partnering with networking and security teams to ensure system reliability and compliance. This position also supports security hardening efforts, audit readiness, and disaster recovery activities. This role offers a compensation range of $95-110k, depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux servers in an enterprise or secure environment
-Security+ certification
-Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V)
-Experience with patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting server environments
-Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls)
-Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience applying DISA STIGs and supporting RMF compliance
-Prior work in DoD or classified environments
-Experience with automation or configuration tools such as Ansible or PowerShell
-Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS GovCloud or Azure Government)
