Job Description
The Director of Data Engineering and Integration Services is responsible for leading the architecture, development, and operation of Central Health System’s enterprise data platforms, including the Snowflake cloud environment and legacy SQL Server systems. This role owns the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable, secure data pipelines that integrate data across EHRs, claims, financial systems, and external partners. The Director ensures all data is properly modeled, governed, and accessible to support analytics, reporting, data science, and operational workflows. They provide strategic leadership for a multi-year migration from on-prem and hybrid SQL Server environments to Snowflake while maintaining continuity for critical reporting and clinical use cases. This individual establishes and enforces enterprise data architecture, governance, and security standards across both legacy and cloud-native platforms. They are accountable for platform performance, reliability, cost management, and alignment with interoperability standards such as FHIR and Azure-based architectures. The Director also leads and develops the data engineering team, manages vendor relationships, and serves as a key technical advisor to executive leadership on data strategy and modernization. This role is critical to enabling Central Health’s transformation into a data-driven organization by building a scalable, secure, and future-ready data foundation that supports advanced analytics, AI, and population health initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have
Bachelor's Degree In a IT related field
7+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, integration, or enterprise data platforms, including healthcare or other highly regulated environments
5+ years building and operating cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure + Snowflake)
Strong experience designing and managing enterprise-scale data pipelines and integrations (APIs, ETL/ELT, vendor systems)
Hands-on expertise with healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks (FHIR, HL7)
3+ years of proven leadership experience managing technical teams and driving data governance, security, and enterprise data strategy
Boomi Professional Developer Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters Degree in a IT related field
Epic Certification or ability to complete within 6 months of hire
