Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support purchasing, vendor relationships, and materials flow across engineering, design, and operations. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless procurement, planning, and logistics of electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods across our global supply network. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of manufacturing supply chains, supplier qualification, and the unique compliance requirements of electrical and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Planning & Procurement
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for electrical components including PCBs, connectors, wire harnesses, power supplies, and control systems.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels using MRP/ERP systems to support production schedules and minimize excess and obsolete stock.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to qualify new components and manage engineering change orders (ECOs) that impact supply chain.
• Monitor and mitigate risks related to component shortages, lead time volatility, and single-source dependencies.
Electrical Systems Integration Support
• Collaborate with electrical and systems integration engineers to align supply chain activities with product development timelines.
• Source and evaluate suppliers of electrical sub-assemblies, cable assemblies, and integration-level components.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by managing prototype sourcing and transitioning designs to volume production.
Manufacturing Coordination
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and operations to resolve supply disruptions and ensure production continuity.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods across manufacturing sites.
• Participate in supplier audits and on-site visits to assess capability and quality management systems.
• Track and report key supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery, cost savings, supplier scorecards, and inventory turns.
Process Improvement & Compliance
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, visibility, and resilience.
• Ensure full compliance with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), trade compliance requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate supplier and component data in ERP/PLM systems.
• Support sustainability initiatives including conflict minerals reporting and responsible sourcing programs.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems functionality (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, MRP/MPS logic, and supplier management best practices.
- Willingness/Understanding that a key function of this role will be building out process/procedure/documentation for purchasing/supply chain business function - including D365 functionality

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Expertise in D365 - administration or implementation
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification, or equivalent supply chain credential.
- Experience building out process/procedure/documentation for purchasing/supply chain business function
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical components and systems integration supply chains.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IPC standards relevant to electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with PLM systems (Windchill, Arena, or similar) and BOM management.
- Background in low-voltage power systems, industrial controls, or electromechanical assemblies.
- Exposure to ITAR/EAR export compliance in an electrical or defense-adjacent manufacturing context.
- Experience supporting NPI and sustaining engineering in a hardware product company.
