Job Description
A logistics company in the Houston, TX area is seeking a Transportation Security Manager to join their team. The Transportation Security Manager will be responsible for leading transportation security and loss prevention efforts across a North American transportation network. This role investigates transportation losses and cargo theft incidents, develops and implements security protocols, and delivers training programs designed to reduce risk and enhance overall operational safety.
The manager plays a key role in fostering a culture of security awareness by partnering with transportation carrier partners, operations, and leadership teams to proactively identify threats, strengthen controls, and ensure effective incident response.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience in transportation security, loss prevention, logistics, or supply chain operations
Experience supporting large‑scale logistics, 3PL, or managed transportation environments
Background in cargo theft prevention, threat assessment, or risk mitigation
Proven ability to investigate transportation losses or cargo theft incidents.
Exposure to working with law enforcement, insurance providers, or security vendors
Strong understanding of transportation operations and supply chain risk management.
Experience developing and delivering training or awareness programs.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with shipment monitoring tools, GPS tracking, telematics, or incident reporting systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience performing these duties for a logistics broker, working closely with 3rd party Carrier partners
