Job Description

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team, you will design, evaluate, and deliver world‑class high‑performance wall systems, enclosures, and buildings using our client’s technology set. In this role, you will be a leader and direct contributor to the development of entirely novel approaches to high‑performance buildings and will have the opportunity to work with your team to advance humankind’s ability to provide dignified, affordable, resilient, and sustainable shelter to the world.
Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of our client’s concrete 3D‑printed (C3DP) wall system to maximize human comfort, safety, experience, and sustainability
Develop construction documents, drawing sets, wall assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, and building envelope details, with a focus on window and door systems, waterproofing, and weatherization
Develop construction diagrams to effectively communicate construction sequencing for successful integration of building envelope components and building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) in the field
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and building and material science teams to determine best practices for effective weatherization, resilient design, and high thermal performance of the printed wall system
Assist in the experimentation of innovative wall profiles and configurations for future project applications
Evolve our client’s drawing templates, organize our client’s detail library, and assist in the development of our client’s wall catalog for application across various climatic conditions
Produce drawings that clearly communicate design intent for research and development
Coordinate with software engineers, print technicians, and construction operations to ensure successful field implementation of wall construction

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience working on complex, multi‑disciplinary building design, planning, and architectural projects
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience coordinating all phases of design, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
Experience producing and organizing construction documents for complex projects, with an emphasis on building systems integration
Desire to work within a highly collaborative team on a rapidly evolving product in a fast‑paced environment
Interest in sustainable design, curiosity around emerging architectural technologies, and a commitment to refining the craft of construction
Work samples and/or a portfolio demonstrating construction document experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Professional architectural license (preferred, not required)
Experience in both commercial and residential design
Expert proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite
Enscape or other rendering experience preferred
Proactive problem‑solving skills, strong organizational abilities, and comfort multitasking
Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to work independently
