Job Description
An Insight Global client in the Houston is seeking a senior SAP Finance (FI/CO) Consultant to serve as the Lead Functional Owner for the SAP Finance module on a large‑scale public‑sector S/4HANA implementation supporting a transportation organization. This role will own the design, configuration oversight, and successful delivery of SAP Finance functionality and will act as the primary subject‑matter authority for all Finance‑related workstreams. The ideal candidate has hands‑on S/4HANA Finance experience, has completed at least one end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA implementation, and brings prior experience working within public‑sector and transportation environments. Lastly, this person will need prior experience managing budgets from public funding and grants. This position is 100% onsite in downtown Houston and requires strong leadership, stakeholder partnership, and cross‑module collaboration. The pay rate for this position will be anywhere from $80 - $90/hr depending on years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of SAP Finance (FI/CO) functional experience
Experience managing budgets from public funding and grants
At least one full end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA implementation (ECC → S/4 or greenfield)
Hands‑on configuration experience within SAP Finance (not design‑only or advisory‑only roles)
Prior public‑sector experience (government, transit, transportation authorities, utilities, etc.)
Experience working with transportation or asset‑intensive organizations
Strong understanding of Finance integrations with Procurement, HR/Payroll, and Asset Management
Proven ability to operate as a module lead on large, cross‑functional SAP programs
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills
