Job Description

The Senior Software Design Verification Engineer (Cybersecurity) leads software verification and validation (V&V) activities for medical device embedded software, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining software design verification processes, test strategies, project plans, and procedures; executing verification, regression, and cybersecurity testing throughout the development lifecycle; and designing automated test scripts and tools to support evolving embedded software releases. The engineer collaborates closely with engineering, quality, and project teams to coordinate test execution, participate in reviews and readiness activities, investigate issues, and deliver clear, compliant test documentation aligned with internal quality systems and regulatory requirements. In addition, this role contributes to continuous improvement through test automation and process optimization and supports team development by mentoring and training engineers and technicians on software design verification and cybersecurity testing practices.

Required Skills & Experience

-A STEM Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution, preferable: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity Testing
-(7) years experience in Cybersecurity, Software Quality Engineering and/or Software Test Methodologies testing in a private, public, government, or military environment
-Experience with Cybersecurity testing and equipment (Penetration Testing, malformed input testing / fuzz testing, static application security testing (SAST), etc.)
-Proficiency with MS Office business software – Word, Excel, Project
