Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst in either Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This role is onsite 3 days per week. This person will partner on a day-to-day with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. This BA will work closely with the Product Owner and development team during Agile ceremonies to refine features, clarify scope, and ensure work is build ready. This role will support testing efforts by answering questions during UAT/SIT and helping determine whether issues are defects or new requirements. The right person will continuously review current processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
Strong experience gathering, documenting, and refining business requirements
Hands-on Agile/Scrum experience (writing epics, features, and user stories)
Ability to work closely with developers and testers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Experience supporting UAT/SIT and helping distinguish defects vs. new requirements
Strong communication skills (written and verbal); comfortable facilitating discussions
Experience analyzing current processes, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements
Familiarity with JIRA or similar Agile tools
Comfortable working across business and technical teams
Self-directed, organized, and able to operate with minimal supervision
Strong preference for candidates with prior large banking environment experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience acting as or partnering closely with a Product Owner
Background in enterprise or financial services environments
Experience refining or improving end to end business processes
Exposure to solution design discussions (not hands-on development)
Experience identifying dependencies and risks early in delivery
