Job Description
An engineering consulting/EPC company is seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter to join their Design Technology group in Houston, TX. This resource will be supporting transmission line / electrical related projects for the Transmission and Distribution organization. This person will be responsible for electrical drafting work including but not limited to: changing text and comments, reviewing and revising existing drawings, preparing drawings of basic components, and analyzing explicit verbal / written instructions or detailed sketches. They will be collaborating with a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and project managers. This person must have a high attention to detail and the desire to learn and grow within a company. This role is 5 days/week onsite in the Galleria area, with opportunity for 9/80 schedule after 3 months.

Required Skills & Experience
2-5 years of CAD Drafting / Design experience relating to electrical or transmission line drawings
Proficient with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical
Experience working in an office environment and ability to work cross-functionally among multiple teams
Excellent written and verbal communication
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience within transmission / transmission line drafting
