Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a high-level Change Management Consultant to support our Oil & Gas client's Enterprise Change Readiness (ECR) center of excellence. Amongst various projects, the Change Manager will manage three distinct but critical main refinery projects focused on production and refinery operations.

Location: Remote / Travel as needed to one of the 13 refinery sites. Travel could be up to once or twice a month, but will vary. All US based locations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver enterprise change management for assigned Refining IT initiatives
Develop and execute key OCM deliverables, including change strategies, stakeholder and impact assessments, communications plans, runbooks, and training plans
Act as the primary Change Manager on assigned projects and coach IT teams on change management frameworks and best practices
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working


Specifically, the consultant may support:

Executive and leadership messaging, including deck creation and content for senior leaders (strong PowerPoint and communication skills required)
User and vendor forums, including content development and issue documentation
Process flow and role mapping facilitation
Change management within Agile delivery environments
Collaboration across diverse teams and multiple levels of leadership


Core Responsibilities

Change Management

Support project teams with all aspects of organizational change management
Partner with the ECR CoE to develop and operationalize an IT Developers Runbook
Conduct stakeholder analyses and change impact assessments
Define and track change success metrics (e.g., readiness, sponsorship)
Develop deliverables across key change levers, including communications, training, sponsorship, and resistance management
Create enablement materials such as playbooks, FAQs, and quick‑reference guides
Facilitate workshops and working sessions as needed

Communications

Develop and execute communication strategies and plans with defined milestones and feedback mechanisms
Partner with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with enterprise messaging
Design and maintain internal communication channels supporting Refining IT initiatives
Industry & Environment Fit (Highly Preferred)

Experience in energy, refining, manufacturing, or industrial environments
Has worked with refinery sites, operations IT, OT/IT, or safety‑critical environments
Familiarity with site communications, frontline workforce enablement, or plant‑level change adoption

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: At least 8+ years of dedicated Change Management experience, specifically at an Oil & Gas Organization within refining IT operation
• Methodology: PROSCI certification
Deep knowledge of structured frameworks like Prosci (ADKAR) and CCMP, combined with experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to understand and translate complex systems, like Digital Twins, non-technical field staff
• Communication: Elite-level PowerPoint and executive presentation skills; ability to influence diverse stakeholders from field operators to the C-suite.
