Job Description
Shift/Hours: 5am-5pm (Monday-Saturday)
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials and finished goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a small team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse logistics and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for correct quantity, quality, and documentation
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, staging, and storage of materials and products
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and audits
- Coordinate with internal teams including Production and Purchasing, as well as external carriers and vendors
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Shipping & Receiving Operators

Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP software, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, etc.)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Ability to read and write in English or Spanish
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
