Our client is seeking a Data & Software Solutions Technical Lead to architect, prototype, and scale next‑generation systems supporting Artemis and future Mars missions—at startup speed, with NASA’s mission. The Lead will architect and build end‑to‑end data and software systems that rapidly evolve from lightweight prototypes into secure, scalable, production‑grade applications. As the hands‑on technical lead, they will drive full‑stack architecture, GenAI strategy, data pipelines for complex physiological sensor data, and cloud infrastructure while serving as a force multiplier for a small engineering team. They will partner closely with product leadership to make fast trade‑offs, unblock delivery, and ship mission‑critical systems that directly support astronaut health and performance.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of hands‑on full‑stack engineering and architecture experience delivering production systems
6+ years leading and mentoring engineers in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments
Expert proficiency in modern full‑stack technologies (React/Next.js (front), Python/Go/Node.js (back)), APIs (REST/GraphQL), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Deep experience with relational and NoSQL databases, distributed systems, data modeling, ETL, and analytics/ML
Strong DevOps background (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD).
Experience working with AI - working with agents or handling memory management
Experience with rapid prototyping
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting NASA or spaceflight-related systems
