Job Description

We are seeking a SharePoint Analyst to support the migration of SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online ahead of Microsoft’s end of support in June/July 2026. This resource will be responsible for helping assess, coordinate, and execute the migration of a large SharePoint environment while partnering closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

The environment includes approximately 300 SharePoint sites, with an estimated 50% expected to be migrated. The role is less about deep development and more focused on analysis, coordination, communication, and site modernization.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Support and execute the migration from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online
• Review and assess existing SharePoint sites to determine:
• Whether sites are still active
• Whether sites should be migrated, archived, or decommissioned
• Use ShareGate to assist with migrations and track progress (number of sites migrated vs remaining)
• Communicate directly with branch managers and business users to confirm site ownership, usage, and migration decisions
• Build or update modern SharePoint Online pages (light configuration such as pages, buttons, and basic layouts)
• Support M365 features and integrations within SharePoint Online

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of SharePoint experience
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint migrations, ideally SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online
• Experience using ShareGate or similar SharePoint migration tooling
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite
• Ability to work independently in a large, complex enterprise environment
• Experience building simple SharePoint pages or intranet content (no HTML required)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting or partnering with .NET developers
• Familiarity with Copilot and SharePoint Online
• Experience modernizing legacy SharePoint sites (classic to modern)s
-Bachelors Degree
