Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Cabling Audit Technician to support a large-scale data center cabling audit project. This role will lead a team of auditors responsible for validating structured cabling installations, ensuring accuracy of labeling, port mapping, and documentation. The ideal candidate comes from an ISP or structured cabling background and bridges the gap between a traditional cable technician and a data center technician.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate a team of cabling auditors across one or multiple data center environments
Audit installed fiber and copper cabling for accuracy, quality, and compliance with design standards
Perform cable tracing, port identification, and end-to-end port mapping
Validate labeling, patching, pathways, and rack layouts against as-built documentation
Identify discrepancies, missing connections, and installation issues; document findings clearly
Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for audit activities and reporting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior leadership or lead technician experience on large-scale cabling projects
Familiarity with common testing, tracing, and labeling tools
Understanding of data center best practices and change management
