Job Description

Responsibilities:
The BIM Specialist is expected to manage and support the development of a data rich and accurate BIM model.
The BIM Specialist will set the course for the digital delivery of large and fast-paced projects, working with multi-discipline leads and executive management and will support efforts from planning and conceptual effort through construction, commissioning and hand-over to the operations teams
Responsible for proper set up and management of large, federated building models involving 8-10 design and engineering disciplines or more. Projects are typically cloud-hosted and span across multiple internal and external design teams in different geographies and time zones.
Responsible for integrating with Project Controls, Commissioning and Facilities Management teams to incorporate data required for their workflows into BIM in a consistent and scalable format
Prepare completed/as-built model for handoff/data integration to facilities to maintain accurate records for factory operations and future projects
Introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading BIM technology. They will develop custom parametric content for Revit for various design disciplines

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Construction Management or Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
3-6+ years of hands-on experience working with Engineering and Project Management teams on high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.).
Proven expertise in Revit, Navisworks and reality capture applications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, IFC, data interoperability and general awareness of other BIM and parametric design applications
Experience with coding, visual programming (C#, Python, Dynamo), and database integrations are preferred.
Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking using BIM parameters
Experience working with facility management teams in utilizing BIM for facility operations
