Job Description
AT&T is seeking an Executive Communications Expert to partner closely with senior leadership, including C‑level executives and Directors, to translate complex technical initiatives, operational updates, and strategic discussions into clear, compelling, and board‑ready narratives.
This role is ideal for a communications leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and executive storytelling—someone who can distill multi‑hour executive discussions into a single, high‑impact slide, craft concise leadership messaging, and influence decision‑making through clarity and structure.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted communications partner to C‑suite executives, VPs, and Directors, supporting executive‑level messaging and strategic communications.
• Translate complex technical, operational, and business discussions into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for executive and board audiences.
• Distill long‑form meetings (e.g., 2–3 hour leadership sessions) into succinct executive summaries, highlights, and single‑slide takeaways.
• Develop and refine board‑level materials, including executive slide decks, briefing documents, leadership read‑outs, and strategic updates.
• Craft compelling story arcs that connect business progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes in a way that resonates with senior leadership.
• Partner with technology, operations, and business leaders to ensure messaging is accurate, aligned, and strategically positioned.
• Ensure all executive communications reflect a high standard of clarity, professionalism, and executive presence.
• Act as a quality gate for executive communications—ensuring consistency, tone, and narrative excellence across materials.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in executive communications, strategic communications, or business reporting supporting C‑level leadership within reputable technology‑driven organizations.
• Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technology, engineering, or operational concepts clearly to executive audiences.
• Prior experience in roles such as Operations & Communications Specialist, Executive Communications Lead, or similar within a large, complex organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in board‑level storytelling, executive narratives, and leadership communications.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives.
• Expert‑level proficiency in U.S. English (native or near‑native), both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to convert ideas, discussions, and business progress into concise, high‑impact executive messaging.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and operate with discretion at the executive level.
Bachelor’s degree required (Communications, Business, Technology, or related field preferred).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience supporting executives in large, enterprise‑scale technology environments.
• Background working directly with boards, executive leadership teams, or senior steering committees.
Strong visual storytelling skills with executive‑level slide design expertise.
