Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking a Sr Product Engineer to join a leading Energy company located in Houston, TX. The person in this role will act as Technical Engineering Lead on complex/critical hyperscale Data Center Facility components taking full ownership of all engineering activities undertaken by product and discipline engineers. They will be responsible for the electrical scope and systems across the design, construction, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning phases. They will check and approve drawings/designs, review vendor quotations and provide feedback to the procurement team, prepare and complete various electrical engineering deliverable drawings, documents, and calculations such as electrical load list, cable sizing / schedule, single line diagrams. Design and complete earthing protection and lighting studies systems. Additionally, they will identify and resolve load balacing, capacity planning and power consumption optimization.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering
8 years of experience in either electrical design and engineering of facilities and equipment ranging from LV to HV or Controls system design and architecture for controls and safety ops for various facilities or instrumentation design and specification for control and safety of process piping and equipment controls
Experience with UPS systems, diesel generators, MD & LV switchgears, power distribution units, VFDs, automatic/static transfer switches, electrical control systems, LV rectification systems
8 years of experience with medium and high voltage power distribution systems design
Design and modeling within AutoCAD
Knowledge of the following codes: ASME, ANSI, IEC, IBC, ISA, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NETA
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PE
Data center experience
Any experience with the following software's: ETAP, SolidWorks, Revit, BIM, Navisworks, Dialux, SAP, Inventor
