Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Labor Relations & Employee Relations with experience in Government Contracting (GovCon) and deep expertise in arbitrations. This role will lead complex employee relations matters, including grievance handling and arbitration, while ensuring strict compliance with federal labor laws and government contracting requirements. The ideal candidate will also serve as a liaison for HR benefits and FMLA inquiries, knowing when and how to escalate issues appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
· Represent the company in labor and employee relations matters:
o Manage grievance processes, including selecting arbitrators, preparing cases, and presenting during arbitration.
o Handle employee suspensions and terminations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
o Negotiate and settle disputes effectively.
· Ensure full compliance with government contracting regulations, including:
o Service Contract Act (SCA)
o Davis-Bacon Act (DBA)
o SBA requirements
· Provide guidance on Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and confidently advise on interpretation and application.
· Act as liaison with HR for benefits-related issues and FMLA inquiries—know who to engage and how to escalate.
· Support labor relations strategy and maintain strong relationships across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

· Law degree (JD or equivalent).
· 3–5 years of experience in labor and employee relations within a government contracting environment (GovCon experience is a must-have).
· Proven expertise in:
o Arbitrations (including SBA, SCA, DBA cases).
o Government contracting compliance.
· Ability to interpret and provide guidance on CBAs confidently.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
