Active Directory Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Active Directory Engineer to support and lead a large‑scale, on‑premises Active Directory domain consolidation. This role is heavily focused on legacy and core Microsoft infrastructure, including domain consolidation and full‑scale AD migrations across multiple environments. The ideal candidate is deeply hands‑on with traditional AD technologies and prefers on‑prem environments over cloud‑first solutions.
This position will play a key role in consolidating multiple Active Directory domains and helping build internal engineering capability to retain long‑term institutional knowledge. Key responsibilities include:
-Lead and execute full‑scale Active Directory domain migrations, including migration of large portions of enterprise systems
-Support Active Directory domain consolidation across multiple existing domains
-Perform server‑based migrations related to AD infrastructure
-Manage and support on‑prem AD services, including DNS and Certificate Services
-Utilize tools such as Quest for AD migration and consolidation efforts
-Partner with internal Systems Administrators to build and support a long‑term internal AD support model
-Contribute hands‑on engineering expertise while helping upskill internal team members
-Support approved infrastructure projects with a focus on stability, scalability, and knowledge retention
