Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a seasoned mechanical systems expert to oversee and optimize mechanical systems supporting mission critical data center operations. This role ensures the reliable and efficient performance of critical infrastructure including CDUs, chillers, pumps, VFDs, cooling towers, RTUs, AHUs, and fan walls.
• Oversee and optimize mechanical systems, especially CDU performance and maintenance.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (ASHRAE, OSHA).
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical failures.
• Maintain detailed records and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Partner with onsite vendors to perform preventive maintenance and resolve mechanical issues.
• Will be hands on and interfacing with customers.

Required Skills & Experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent military, trade school or hands-on experience.
• 7+ years in data center or mission-critical mechanical systems.
• Expertise in coolant or refrigerant systems
• Familiarity with BAS, BMS, CMMS
- hands on experience with preventative maintenance & troubleshooting equipment
- Experience with HVAC, hydronic and BMS systems focused.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• EPA 608 certification a plus.
• Heavy mechanical experience
• Navy nuclear experience
• CDU Experience
