Job Description
An employer in Houston is seeking a PL/SQL Developer to join its internal HR Applications team. This role supports an Oracle database that powers approximately five complex, proprietary HR applications. The primary focus will be production support and responding to internal end‑user requests. Day to day, the developer will design and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers, and partner closely with software development and UI teams to ensure seamless data integration.
The ideal candidate has deep Oracle database expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication abilities. This position is 100% onsite in downtown Houston.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional experience
Strong PL/SQL development expertise
Hands-on experience with Oracle database development, including partitions, DBMS jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and user-defined types
Experience working with UI teams and applications using cursors, XML, JSON, etc.
Proven ability to develop and support end-to-end jobs
Strong SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning skills
Experience creating and maintaining custom Oracle code
Strong data analysis skills to debug, trace, and resolve performance issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
Oil & Gas industry experience
