Job Description
We are partnering with a leading financial services organization to fill an urgent contract opportunity for a Senior Java Developer / Senior Software Engineer on a risk management and compliance-focused technology team. This role supports a portfolio of approximately 21 applications and involves meaningful cloud migration work alongside ongoing application enhancements and support. The team operates in a collaborative, agile/scrum environment and is looking for a seasoned engineer who brings not only deep technical expertise but also exceptional verbal and written communication skills to thrive in a cross-functional, product-team setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications supporting risk management and compliance business functions.
Lead and contribute to cloud migration initiatives, including migrating existing applications to AWS infrastructure.
Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform to support scalable, repeatable cloud deployments.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness to streamline application delivery and deployment workflows
Provide Level 3 application support across a portfolio of approximately 21 applications, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution
Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers in an agile/scrum delivery model
Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational standards
Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and technical documentation to uphold team quality and knowledge-sharing standards

Required Skills & Experience
8–10+ years of hands-on experience with Java / J2EE in enterprise-level environments
5+ years of experience developing applications using Spring Boot
3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud migration projects
2+ years of experience writing and managing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
2+ years of experience with Harness or a comparable CI/CD pipeline toolset
Demonstrated experience providing Level 3 application support, including incident management and root cause analysis
Proven experience in system design and architecture, with the ability to contribute to and lead technical design discussions
