Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our client’s Engineering organization. Our client is a hardware and electronics services company that provides repairs, refurbishments, quality, and logistics services for OEM’s and enterprise clients.
As a Process Engineer you will drive process design, automation, and continuous improvement across our client’s logistics, warehousing, and electronics service operations. This role plays a critical part in designing layouts, implementing automation technologies, and improving end to end workflows in collaboration with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong industrial or mechanical engineering background, hands on experience with automation systems, and the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable, automated solutions. This is a high visibility, client facing role with ownership over process improvements from concept through implementation.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Lead new product introductions (NPI) and new process implementations, ensuring readiness through documentation, training, and execution
- Own and drive process and product improvement initiatives, from opportunity identification through implementation and results tracking
- Design and develop production and warehouse layouts using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, including equipment placement and process flow optimization
- Implement and support automation initiatives, including:
Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
Automated conveyors
Visual recognition systems
Robotics and AGVs/AMRs
- Serve as a front facing technical representative, partnering with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external clients
- Lead and coordinate Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma activities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance
- Facilitate cross functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in KPIs, throughput, and cycle time
- Develop, review, and maintain standardized documentation, including:
Process flow charts
Control plans and control charts
Manufacturing and process work instructions

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial environments
• Hands on experience with AutoCAD for layout development, process flow diagrams, equipment placement, and documentation support
• Background in industrial or mechanical engineering environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally and client facing
• Demonstrated ability to bring automation strategy and execution into an organization
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience with large scale or complex logistics operations
• Exposure to multiple automation technologies across different environments
• Experience working in highly regulated or ISO certified organizations
• Background supporting electronics, computer repair, or technical service operations
