Job Description

Our Cloud Infrastructure Platform Engineering team plays a pivotal role in designing and deploying robust infrastructure solutions to support SAP products and services. We are an automation-first organization, prioritizing the deployment of all our cloud resources via automation to enhance efficiency and consistency. Our engineers collaborate closely with internal product teams to deliver adaptable and scalable code that meets the requirements of our diverse clientele. We are looking for a junior engineer eager to grow their skills in configuration management using ansible, managing cloud infrastructure with terraform, and automating processes with CI/CD pipelines. Our client base spans local, state, and federal government agencies and private sector organizations supporting government missions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute and develop Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration, provisioning, and maintenance tasks across cloud environments.
Support deployment and maintenance of infrastructure across cloud service providers by assisting with Terraform configurations under the guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, including writing and troubleshooting pipeline jobs.
Deploy and support containerized services using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Contribute to standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation for infrastructure processes.
Apply a security-first mindset across all responsibilities, including Linux hardening and access control.
Support monitoring, logging, and configuration management efforts in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
Leverage generative AI tools to improve efficiency and consistency in day-to-day infrastructure tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
3 or more years of experience with Ansible, including playbook development and configuration management.
Experience working in Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting.
Experience working within CI/CD workflows and version-controlled infrastructure.
Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and networking fundamentals.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Hands-on experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
Exposure to identity management concepts such as RBAC or SSO.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools in a cloud environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both written documentation and team discussions.
