Job Description
An employer in The Woodlands, TX area is seeking an F5 Engineer to join their Network Security team. This team is responsible for all of the maintenance, support and enhancement of the company's enterprise network security health. On a daily basis, the F5 Engineer will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and configuring F5 load balancers and security modules as well as monitoring and troubleshooting applications and transitioning legacy hardware to new systems. Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to support in other network and security functions such as firewall, ICE, email, etc.
This is a permanent direct hire role that will require this individual to be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly and pay an annual salary between $115 - 135K

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of network or network security engineering
Hands‑on experience with multiple F5 modules (LTM, GTM/DNS, APM, WAF, AFM)
Intermediate–advanced troubleshooting
Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and log analysis
Cisco networking proficiency
Clear communication and strong documentation skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Python/Ansible or automation
Exposure to Azure, Zero Trust, Zscaler, NGINX
SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), Tenable, or CASB solutions
Experience modifying iRules
Financial services experience (not required)
F5 or Cisco certifications
