Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Analyst – Tableau Specialist to support the Maintenance Division of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This role requires strong, hands‑on Tableau experience and advanced Excel skills to transform large, complex datasets into accurate dashboards, reports, and executive‑ready materials.
This is a highly independent role suited for a self‑starter who can navigate multiple internal systems, reconcile data across sources, and deliver polished final products with minimal direction. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically savvy, and comfortable working in a data‑rich, operational environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong Tableau experience building dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (large datasets, complex formulas, data modeling)
Experience extracting, reconciling, and validating data from multiple systems
Proven ability to present data visually in a clear, accurate, and professional manner
Experience creating executive‑ready materials in Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail with a high bar for accuracy and quality
Ability to work independently and drive work to completion without step‑by‑step guidance
Strong written communication skills, including documentation and SOP development

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in transportation, infrastructure, asset management, or public‑sector environments
Experience working with very large, structured datasets
Familiarity with data lake concepts or centralized data repositories
