Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a hands‑on technical professional with a strong operational mindset and a genuine passion for technology to join their team. This individual is the go-to escalation point when complex or critical issues arise, taking full ownership to ensure problems are resolved efficiently and permanently. They lead and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical direction while strengthening the overall capability of the team. In addition to day-to-day operational oversight, they take a holistic, enterprise-wide view of IT operations - when something breaks, they ensure it gets fixed. This role also bridges technical execution and leadership by presenting updates, insights, and recommendations to management, helping drive informed decisions and continuous improvement across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT operations and service desk environments, with a proven, hands‑on background across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support functions
• Strong hands‑on experience in cloud computing, networking, automation, and scripting, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues end to end
• Demonstrated experience working directly with servers, cabling, and on‑premises infrastructure, ensuring reliable and stable operations
• Proficiency with key technologies, including:
○ Basic shell scripting
○ Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
○ Microsoft tools and technologies
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supporting junior team members, contributing to team development and operational excellence
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical, real‑world experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Strong soft skills, particularly communication and stakeholder engagement
• A+, Security+, ITIL, or AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications
• Hands-on experience working in Jira
• Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Epicor
• Hands-on experience with enterprise applications, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS)
