Job Description
The SAP FICO Architects are responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and support of ERP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions using SAP ECC . This role requires a deep understanding of financial and controlling business processes to analyze business requirements and architect effective, scalable solutions across the organization. The position also involves leading finance-related projects and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and compliance requirements. Additional responsibilities include:
ERP Solutions
Execute IT strategy and serve as planning consultant for Finance and Controlling departments
Support and consult SAP IT teams in architecture and application development related topics using tools such as (Business Process Models, Capability Maps and Functional Specifications)
Design, configure, and support SAP FI/CO modules, including GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Product Costing
Lead implementation of finance business processes across SAP modules and integrated systems (MM, SD, PP, etc)
Manage the full SAP FICO lifecycle: requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, go-live, and post-implementation support
Ensure solutions meet internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements
Analyze current system capabilities and propose improvements to optimize finance operations and reporting
Maintain and support existing SAP Finance applications and handle integration issues with other modules and systems
Align SAP finance initiatives with corporate governance and Information Management standards
Act as a key interface with finance stakeholders and represent client in external vendor/partner discussions
Prioritize and resolve system and process issues in collaboration with business users
Ensure IT initiatives adhere to Corporate Information Management (IM) standards and methodologies
Serve as interface with internal customers and represents client to external customers and vendors/suppliers
Project Management
Manage the development, implementation, and delivery of SAP Finance initiatives including migrations, enhancements and new implementations
Oversee business analysts and consultants with the responsibility to set and meet deadlines
Manage scope, cost, schedule, budget, and project deliverables which include applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
Leadership
Model corporate values and participate as required in groups, initiatives and advisory bodies
Proactively support other departments serving as the Subject Matter Expert for FICO-related systems, tools, and reporting platforms

Required Skills & Experience
• 5-8 years relevant experience within SAP ECC
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in SAP Finance and Controlling architecture, implementation, and process design
• In-depth understanding of core FI/CO modules and integration points (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Product Costing)
• Cloud knowledge (Azure or AWS)
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, BI/BW, SAC) and data reconciliation methods
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with S4/HANA, Central Finance and S/4 migrations
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, SOX) and internal controls
