Job Description

Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant. This person will be working in a trailer in the hospital parking lot to assist a PET Tech on-site. This person will not be rooming patients, as they will only see 1 patient at a time, 6-8 patients/day. They may be assisting the back office with documentation during downtime as well.

The shift for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:30-4.

Additional Details:

Patient Transport:
• Safely escorting patients to and from the PET trailer, ensuring comfort and adherence to all safety protocols.
Patient Monitoring:
• Observing and monitoring patients while they are on the PET trailer, reporting any concerns to the PET Technologist immediately.
Technologist Support:
Assisting the PET Technologist with operational tasks as needed, which may include:
• Prepping patients, organizing supplies, and helping maintain workflow efficiency on the PET trailer
• Supporting tasks that can be completed from the PET trailer, such as:
• Consults
• eRx refills
• NC Portal messages
• Other trailer based clinical or administrative duties as assigned
Environment & Safety Awareness:
• Supporting radiation safety practices and helping maintain a smooth and secure environment within the PET area.

Required Skills & Experience

- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- BLS (from American Heart, not Red Cross)
- Experience as a Medical Assistant

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Oncology experience
