Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join the team at a large oil and gas company here in Houston, Texas. The Sustainability Specialist supports the transparent, accurate, and timely reporting of sustainability and climate‑related risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to a wide range of stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and the public. This role is responsible for collating and synthesizing sustainability‑related information aligned with applicable legislation, frameworks, and standards to support disclosures; drafting, updating, and maintaining content for internal and external sustainability communications, including the company sustainability website and internal platforms; coordinating the tracking and close‑out of comments across draft disclosures; and conducting research projects and benchmarking analyses on sustainability topics to inform reporting, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, Earth Sciences or related field.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite.
- 2 + years of experience in corporate sustainability in a multi-national organization, with a focus on sustainability disclosure practices and corporate sustainability strategies, use of corporate data management systems to benchmark and synthesize data and communicate trends and insights from corporate sustainability sources.
- Proficient in the following sustainability topics: greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks and opportunities, human rights, social capital, environmental stewardship, health and safety and the NGO landscape.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to different non-technical audiences.
Proficient knowledge, understanding and experience of the application of some or all of the sustainability reporting frameworks, standards and guidelines, including the SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, CSRD, TNFD and Ipieca.
