Job Description

Our customer is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and actively manage contract‑compliant project schedules for Military Construction (MILCON) projects. This role ensures schedules accurately reflect the contractor’s execution plan, current progress, and forecasted completion. The schedule serves as a critical tool for project controls, coordination, and Government reporting.
The Project Scheduler owns schedule integrity and compliance, supporting baseline approvals, monthly updates, delay analysis, and schedule‑driven communication with Government stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and experience with DoD / USACE scheduling practices are required.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain fully logic‑driven design and construction schedules in Primavera P6, including appropriate predecessor and successor relationships.
• Ensure schedules accurately reflect:
○ Design phases
○ Submittals and review periods
○ Procurement lead times
○ Construction sequencing
○ Inspections, testing, and closeout activities
• Configure and manage Primavera P6 project settings, calendars, activity coding structures, and percent complete rules in accordance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate schedule development with project management, construction, quality, safety, design, and procurement teams.
• Prepare and submit monthly schedule updates reflecting actual progress, remaining work, and forecasted completion dates.
• Produce concise schedule narratives addressing:
○ Overall progress
○ Critical path status
○ Changes since the prior update
○ Potential risks and delays
• Support Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) for contract modifications, change orders, and delay events.
• Prepare 3‑Week Look‑Ahead schedules.
• Coordinate weekly planning efforts with field teams to support:
○ Crew planning
○ Inspections
○ Outages
○ Key coordination meetings
• Ensure project correspondence, RFIs, reports, and test documentation reference applicable schedule activities where required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of construction scheduling experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting MILCON and/or federal construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling, progress measurement, and delay analysis.
• Proven ability to interpret and implement detailed contract scheduling requirements.
