Position Summary:
Insight Global is seeking an International Tax Manager to join the tax team for one of our multinational publicly traded clients in the shipping & logistics industry. The International Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global tax compliance, planning, and reporting obligations. This role will ensure adherence to international tax laws, manage tax risks, and support cross-border transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage U.S. international tax compliance and reporting activities, including the preparation and review of Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and related disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with global tax regulations, including OECD guidelines, local country requirements, and transfer pricing documentation standards.
- Support the international tax provision process under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, including calculations related to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credits.
- Assist with the preparation and review of tax footnote disclosures for SEC filings (Forms 10-K and 10-Q) and ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
- Maintain and update tax policies and procedures to support internal controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Support international tax planning initiatives by assisting with the tax-efficient structuring of cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business expansions.
- Analyze the tax impact of intercompany transactions, repatriation strategies, and supply chain changes to support business decisions.
- Monitor global tax law changes and assist with implementation efforts affecting the company’s international tax profile.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to support the company’s global tax planning and compliance objectives.
- Manage day-to-day transfer pricing compliance, including adherence to global transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with external advisors on country-by-country reporting and local transfer pricing filings.
- Support transfer pricing audits and assist with audit inquiries and dispute resolution efforts.
- Assist in managing responses to international tax audits, inquiries, and information requests from foreign tax authorities.
- Identify potential global tax risks and support mitigation efforts through effective tax governance practices.
- Support ongoing improvements to tax processes and controls to enhance compliance and reduce risk.

Required Skills & Experience
5 years of international tax experience for a public company or public accounting firm.
Familiarity with US International Tax provisioning regulations GILTI, FDII, BEAT.
Transfer pricing and Foreign Tax Credits (FTC) experience.
Knowledgeable of Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Taxes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
Previous experience working with a large-scale tax provisioning software.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in taxation OR CPA preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP system or OneSource tax software.
