Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Security Engineer to join our growing Information Security team. This entry role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in cybersecurity who are eager to learn and contribute to the protection of our organization's digital assets. You will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, maintaining security tools, and supporting compliance initiatives.
-Monitor and review security alerts and logs across security tools (SIEM, endpoint, firewall)
-Assist with security incident investigation, triage, and response
-Support implementation and maintenance of security tools and controls
-Perform routine security checks, assessments, and compliance support activities
-Maintain security documentation, procedures, and incident records
-Partner with IT and business teams to promote security best practices
-Stay current on emerging threats and security trends

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
-3–4 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles (internships/projects considered)
-Basic understanding of networking, Windows/Linux, and security fundamentals
-Familiarity with common security tools (firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
-Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Security certifications (Security+, SSCP, or similar)
-Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python)
-Exposure to cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
-Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA)
-Exposure to security operations (alert triage, incident response, vulnerability management)
