Superintendent
What to Expect
As an Electrical Construction Superintendent at Tesla, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the primary coordinator of field operations, working cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the successful execution of both contracted and self-performed construction projects
• Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and addressing any roadblocks
• Create and maintain site logistics and execution plans
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Direct field work, track changes, and provide leadership within project teams
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve design issues promptly
• Ensure installations meet end-user requirements and adhere to quality standards
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively present information
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Microsoft Projects) able to identify and implement the best method to communicate or plan a project and scopes
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and managing changes to construction design documents with ability to provide constructability feedback
• Ability to travel to various project locations as needed (up to 50%), often on short notice
