Project Manager
What to Expect
Self Perform Construction is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various self-perform electrical construction projects. You will lead our internal Tesla Construction team and collaborate cross-functionally with design, construction management and manufacturing departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
What You’ll Do
• Plan, estimate, coordinate, and oversee all phases of the construction project, ensuring it aligns with specifications and meets quality standards
• Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary construction team, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment
• Manage project timelines, budget, and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective completion of the projects
• Identify project risks and opportunities, actively managing them throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, facilities and commissioning teams to address design modifications and ensure compliance with regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns promptly
• Enforce high standards for document configuration control and ensure incorporation of RFIs into final Record drawing
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector that were ground-up and/or retrofit projects
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and process systems
• Proficiency in material take offs and estimating from construction drawings
• Strong skills in Construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance, and variance analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges
