Job Description
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's team supporting critical first responder communication systems. This individual will be providing essential field support for radio frequency equipment across fire stations in the Austin, TX area. They will be responsible for testing and repairing Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) systems, P25 radio equipment, and other first responder communication devices. This role requires 100% field work, operating from a ticketing system to ensure rapid response to equipment issues that directly impact emergency services. You'll join a dedicated team of 6 field technicians who maintain the critical communication infrastructure that keeps our first responders connected and safe. The position offers the opportunity to transition to permanent employment after the initial contract period for the right candidate.

- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with ticketing systems for task management
- Self-motivated with strong initiative

- Experience repairing/maintaining P25 radio systems
- Previous military service
- Experience with Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) systems
