Job Description
An employer is Houston, TX is looking for Thermal Hardware Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting electrical hardware, conducting software/system validation, and prototyping. On a day-to-day basis candidate will be responsible for designing engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines. Developing and implementing parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements. This person will also be collaborating with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment and have strong written and verbal communication.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of thermal hardware engineer experience
Previous experience using electrical design tools and software packages
Experience designing electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms using empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Previous IT hardware industry experience
Previous experience performing thermal characterization or system performance analysis.
Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis
